A Drop of Dopamine began with a simple idea: what if something small arriving in the mail could brighten someone's whole day?

We're Debbie and Angie, a mother-daughter team who believe joy doesn't have to be big or complicated. Debbie paints new original watercolors for every month's theme. Angie creates the coordinating stickers, chooses the quote and curates the playlist.

Together, we dream up each month's experience, tuck everything into a cheerful yellow envelope, and send a little happiness from our home to yours.

Wondering how your monthly dose of happy mail works? Here are a few things that are good to know.

When will my first yellow envelope arrive?

Our yellow envelopes arrive during the first week of each month. Place your order by the 25th to receive the following month’s Drop. For example, subscribe by September 25th and your first yellow envelope will arrive during the first week of October.

What comes in each yellow envelope?

Every month brings a brand-new seasonal collection: two 3×3 premium reproductions of Debbie’s original watercolor paintings, stickers designed by Angie, an uplifting quote card, a curated Spotify playlist and a little note from us.

Is every month different?

Yes! We create a new theme every month, with new watercolors, stickers, words and music to go with it. Part of the fun is not knowing exactly what will be waiting inside your next yellow envelope.

How does my monthly subscription renew, and can I cancel?

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew each month, so your happy mail keeps coming without you having to do a thing. You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time before your next renewal.

Do 6-month and annual subscriptions renew?

Yes. Our 6-month and annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each subscription period, so the happy mail can keep coming. If you don’t want your subscription to renew for another term, simply cancel before your next renewal date.

Can I send A Drop of Dopamine as a gift?

Absolutely. You can choose a 6-month or annual gift subscription. Gift subscriptions are a one-time purchase and do not automatically renew. At checkout, enter the recipient’s name and mailing address so their yellow envelopes arrive right at their door.

What is the 13th Envelope?

It’s our special thank-you for annual subscribers. After receiving 12 monthly envelopes, annual subscribers receive an exclusive 13th Envelope with a 5×7 watercolor art print and a special sticker.

How does the birthday surprise work?

Active subscribers can tell us their birthday month, and when it rolls around we’ll add a little extra celebration to their monthly envelope—a birthday watercolor print, birthday stickers and a personal note from Debbie & Angie. Already subscribed but haven’t shared your birthday with us? Just scroll up to the Birthday section on this page and click “Tell Us Your Birthday Month” to make sure we know when to celebrate you.

Is U.S. shipping included?

Yes. Shipping is included for subscriptions mailed within the United States, so there are no additional monthly shipping charges.

Do you ship internationally?

International shipping varies by location. If you live outside the U.S., reach out to us and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
